SMELL GAS?
Smell gas? What to do straight away
Open windows and doors, don’t use switches or naked flames, and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999. Once it’s safe, we can repair the fault and carry out full tightness testing.
Can anyone install a gas cooker or hob?
No. By law, anyone carrying out gas work must be Gas Safe registered. Our engineers are registered, so your installation is legal, safe and insured. See all our gas services.
How often should gas appliances be serviced?
Once a year is the standard recommendation. Regular servicing catches faults early, keeps appliances burning cleanly and protects everyone in the home from carbon monoxide risks.
What is a gas tightness test?
It’s a test that confirms your gas pipework is sound and not leaking. It’s part of many jobs, from new appliances to pipework alterations and landlord checks, and we carry it out with calibrated equipment.
Can you move a gas pipe or meter?
We can alter and extend gas pipework for kitchens, extensions and new appliances. Meter moves involve your gas supplier too, so call 07878 495926 and we’ll talk you through it.
